A. The surface of the foam board has pores (and some of these pores are broken).
Surface Pores (accompanied by pore rupture) on Foam Boards
The appearance of pores and cracks on the surface of extruded boards is a common quality problem in the production of XPS, EPS, and PET extruded boards. We offer the following solutions for different causes:
1. Raw materials contain moisture: Replace the raw materials, or dry the raw materials.
2. Excessive foaming agent injection: Reduce the amount of foaming agent injected according to the parameters of the extruded plastic board.
3. Caused by material flow interruption or blockage: The raw materials do not meet the parameter requirements and need to be replaced.
4. Melt temperature is too high: Reduce the rotational speed frequency of the second extruder to lower the temperature, or activate the water cooling system.
5. Melt flow rate is too low: Choose raw materials with a higher melt index.
6.Uneven mixing, insufficient distribution of nucleating agent: Increase the mixing section, for example, by using a static mixer.
