Air channels are present in the foam boards.

The presence of air channels in extruded boards is a common problem during the production of XPS, EPS, and PET foam boards. We offer corresponding solutions for different causes:

1. Impurities in the masterbatch, insufficient purity: Select raw materials that meet the specified parameters.

2. The temperature of the second extruder (single-screw extruder) is too low: Adjust the temperature to a suitable level according to the parameters of the extruded board to improve the plasticization effect.

3.Excessive carbon dioxide injection or an oversized nozzle may also lead to air channels: Reduce the amount of carbon dioxide injected or tighten the nozzle screw.
